Well how about that, I'm a SharePoint MVP

logo_mvp You know in advance that you have been nominated (I was asked to supply a number of details), however you never really believe you will get the award. Still, today at 4pm (GMT), I got an email telling me that I have received the MVP award for my contributions to the SharePoint technical community.

I must say that I feel quite honored and would like to thank anyone who contributed towards my nomination and my eventual award.

What does this me mean? What changes? I really can't say at the moment, except that I now feel duty bound to devote time to the community, something I have not exactly done in the last few weeks.

Life is not all about clients, projects and earning a crust...its good to put something back!

Contributions don't only take the form of blogging...I have a number of things to blog, but no time to do it. I am still working on the CKS:EBE and have another open source project which will be released soon. Once those two projects are released then I will find the time to blog. I am still answering emails, posts on various forums and other things which are not as obvious as my blog. Also its the summer and my three children are off school...I do want to spend some time with them!! --Vince
